  George Bush was a solid student.  I wasn't there for much of his ground training, but I was there for the pre-jump, the ride to altitude, and skydive.   I guess I expected a good jump because he was a former fighter pilot who had made a jump before under extreme conditions in the heat of war.  I figured an AFF level 1 jump wouldn't be all that dificult for him.  It wasn't.  He did a great job and took time to give us freefall cameramen a big smile and thumbs up.
